    Default It's Almost Here

The spawn is almost on us, and I have a few days that are open. Come on and get in on some of these big Grenada Lake Slabs.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I think I might change my plans when I retire. I can't make up my mind if I want to retire to Reel Foot or Grenada. Hard choice. I really love Reel Foot for the Crappie and Bluegill but the Crappie in Grenada are second to none.

CX...Reelfoot is a super lake, I stayed there a good while last year. It has great bluegill, and the catfishing is unbelievable.
You can catch a lot of crappie there, IF the wind will let you on the lake.
Grenada is a hard lake to fish, very temperamental with the slightest of weather change, the crappie will get lockjaw.
I hate to say this, but I would pick Reelfoot, even tho Grenada has the biggest crappie of all lakes.
Your a young man, maybe by the time you can retire some other lakes will start producing great crappie fishing.
I think more states need to do what Mississippi has done and have a 12 inch
length rule and lower the limit of fish that can be taken.
Some fisherman may not like that rule, but it will insure better quality fishing for the future.

    Good Fishing......Crappie cowboy

I Would Have To Agree With Both Of You.. Ive Never Been To Grenada But Would Love To Go Sometime.. I Love The Foot And Just The Way The Lake Is Laid Out... We Are Going To Kentucky Lake At The End Of March For A Trip Then Reelfoot At The Beginning Of May For Five Days To Go After The Gills... We Did Better At Kentucky Lake Last Spring And Caught Some Real Nice Crappie.. Was Fortunate And Had Good Weather Besides One Day But Did Ok... Weve Always Did Good Catching The Gills But Have Struggled A Few Times In The Spring At The Foot Trying To Get The Crappie... Best Weve Done On Crappie Has Been In October At The Foot On Two Occasions.... I Would Have To Say Have Nothing Against Kentucky Lake But Not Near Excited To Go There As Reelfoot.. Dont Get Me Wrong Im Still Happy As A Clam To Get To Go To Kentucky Lake.... Theres Some Fellows Weve Been Going With That Have Been Going To The Foot For 20 Years.. They Always Talk About Buying A Place Down There But It Hasnt Happended Yet And Probably Wont.. But The Old Man And Me Would Love To Retire And Have A Get Away Down There... Nice People Down At The Foot Also..
