Anybody fish Prairie Lake at JEPC park(formerly "Site M") for crappie? A guy told me that he fished a bass tourny there last Aug. and they caught some big crappies on their cranks. His partner caught a 2lb+ that he was going to mount. Another guy said his friends used to go there for bass, but found the crappies very good also. I was there 3yrs ago in the spring for turkey and asked, they said the state never stocked any but others had and that there were mostly stunted fish in all three lakes with boat launches. I fished Gridley lake from the bank and caught many5-6in fish. You can use any size outboard on the big lake(Prairie), but at idle only for any above 10hp. They left all kinds of brush in the lake when they built it 10yrs ago.
