Well since the weather is going back in the wrong direction I was just sitting here looking at some snapshots I took recently and thought I would share them with the crowd. Image 1: This is the concrete base of a gun tower that was in crab orchard. The tower was manned 24/7 in the early 40s in case any attempt to sabotauge the dam occured. So this is a real relic for sure. Image 2. I love this pic. This is a bridge over old hwy 13. You can see it plainly. I put a red box and an x on it. Image 3: These are xmas trees. Xmas trees show up in a teardrop type shape. There are 3 of them right there in a row. I have the cursor on the big one marking it. Image 4: this is at Kinkaid. I was seeing all kinds of bait balls...so i snapped a pic. There are about 5 big bait balls in the pic. Ill bet there are a few musky not far away.
thats some cold water...ill have to post some of my snap shots

Guys,
I was informed by a Lowrance rep. their side image should be available this July.
It is suppose to adapt with Lowrance GPS units. The 332c model and newer.
The new side image is suppose to be in color.
Thats right Rangerz20. Lowrance is coming out with a transducer that will convert the units to side imaging. I look for them to go public with this at the bass masters classic this weekend
Dont know if the unvaling at the bassmasters of a Lowrance sideimaging unit is accurate or not. Im reading its a complete rumor. But who knows. I have a 997 and am thrilled with 90% of it. The GPS is not top notch. Its accurate...but as you can read in the main forum...the main thing is the refresh rate for the boat icon is painfully slow. Once you get used to it you can use it fine. I know in the past 6 months it has put me on spots that I never would have ever found.

I have a 797CSI and I was wondering what do you have your settings at on your 997CSI ? Are you better off being in deeper water and farther away from what your looking at to get a better look at what you want ? I haven't played with mine that much . Just seems when I get on the water I want to fish . I have every intent on learning how to use my machine but when I feel that thump I can't stop .
See ya Kevin ><)))*>
Excellent
I run it in grey or inverse as far as color. You can see both better in the daytime. I run the sensativity on 10 (out of 20). I move 3-5 mph with a chart speed of 3 or 4. I set the range to either side at no more than 75 feet in order to make sure object come in bigger and clearer on the screen. As far as being better off in deep water...not really. I run it in 5-12 feet quite often. Its just as good in 30 feet as it is in 3. Only difference is the water column is wider in 30. Im glad you can resist the thing to fish. Im the opposite. When I get on the water it seems all i want to do is sideimage everything.
Thats some nice lookin images. I got a 797 for christmas i cant wait to get it out on the water.
