Thread: OT: Green Carp!

Dad and I went fishing today after I got back from champaign, we found a few crappie but we were catching tons of bass while crappie fishin. Kept crappie fishin anyway and one cast after catchin a 3lb bass I hook into this girl in about a foot of water! She weighed 6.4lbs and was caught on 6lb test on spinning gear. I told dad to get down and get er for me and he starts lookin for waterproof gloves first and im like FORGET THE GLOVES get the fish!!!!! It was a great afternoon and I was pumped!!! She was released to live another day.:D:D:D:D

Them ol green carp are pretty fun to catch to. Shes a pig.

Hey Tyler thats a nice green carp. You should have thrown it on the bank in the weeds. LOL just kiddn. Thats a nice fish. Good to put her back to produce more.

Big bass! Especially big for central illinois and 1 foot of water is just mind blowing cosidering what the water temp must have been. Im not nearly smart enough to figure out how to white out my background. I guess thats why i have to take pics in my driveway. Congrats.

nice fish Birdman. Wish I could have hooked into one of those. We couldn't sniff a crappie or a grass carp of any size today on the water.
