Thread: Skunked

me and montanaboy(from Mo board) and my fishing partner went out today to try to catch a few...went to balwin and got 3 lil channel cats on jigs so we loaded up and headed to peabody river king and had a few bite but never hooked one...i think i should of put in the river in new athens and ran up river towards the spillway i know if i couldnt find them river crappie i know i could of found the sauger....but in all we had fun and its was a blast meeting somone from the board...but i wish i could have put montanaboy on some fish...prob try to get back togather here in a few weeks and try it again...anyone having any luck any where?.....we tryed casting jigs,jiggin jigs,crank baits,minnows....you name it we tryed it...i think this cold front messed them all up but this was really the first time we fished this year and give me a week or two and ill find out if they packed up and moved south for the winter or not

CK, It must have been the cold front, I have had the same problem, thought it was just my methods.

We did have great time. That is what I love about fishing. You don't always have to catch em to have a good time. It was nice to Meet "CrappieKiller" and his partner. Both are fine people. It was nice to get out on the water. Thanks for taking me CrappieKiller. We will have to get after them again in a few weeks.

oh trust me if i wasnt in a good mood today i would have been throwing rods and everything else in the water...i dont like going fishing and not even catch a dink...but hey i guess it happends to everyone....but let me tell you next time we go we are going to catch a world record well atleast a state record....(i wish)
