I know its a shot in the dark, but has anyone been? MMJoker maybe?
I was over there for a pheasant hunt on Saturday after Thanks giving. I talked to the park ranger and he said he caught a 2lb crappie off of the rip rap about 6 feet down from the bank. He said he caught plenty more just not 2lbs. He said he was using a minnow on a plain hook. It made me wish I had more time to do some crappie fishing after the pheasant hunting.
Went Thanksgiving, and we boated about 20. Alot were short (9 7/8").
Kept about 6 with the largest about 1 3/4 lbs. All caught on minnows on 1/8 Jig head, in 12 FOW.
Hey Red, them crappie gettin' any bigger up at your home lake? I know you said last year you can catch a bunch, it's just the size that's an issue. Just wondering...
Hope you're doing well.

I'm doing good Scott, thanks, how about yourself? I still have to sift through a lot of small ones to get a few to clean. Thanks for the other replies. I just found it kind of weird that Shelby and Rend have been on fire and I haven't heard anything from Carlyle. It was a strange year out there with the high water and all (from what I hear) I never did bring my boat out there this year, just a few trips below the dam.
