Left Monticello at 5:30 in a full blown snow storm. I knew the ground was too warm for it to stick though. Had to drive slow but got to 9th st. at 7:00 and it was clear down there and very little snow. We had light winds and overcast. PERFECT. The lake has been so clear the last few days that when you pull over a brush pile and tight line it the fish spook and you don't get too many. That is the north end. The south end always fishes about six feet deeper. So I thought the deeper fish wouldn't spook as easy. I took my guys down the lake yesterday and did well so we did it again today. We tore them up today and got four full limits or 60 keepers. We are fishing channel bluffs in about 14-18 feet of water. You can really get the numbers down the lake and they are schooled up big time on these channel banks. Back tomorrow and back also is the wind. Don't know how much longer we can keep going but I hope Mother Nature holds off a little more because I am really on these deep fish. Good practice for Paris landing.
I,d rather set here with my hot toddy drink and read about it instead of being out in it---
Glad you did well --I,ll get my courage up and try again [LOL]
Did the ramps have a lot of snow on them ?

Steve - We took a ride this afternoon around the lake and stopped at the ramps at State Park East and West and also at Bo Woods. There were no vehicles at any of the parking lots we visited. We saw one boat out on the lake when we crossed the Findlay bridge. Went passed several areas where the guys bank fish and did see some vehicles at those areas. Talked with one bank fisherman and he said he had two keepers. Good to hear that you got into them today.

Sounds like a guy better get out there if he has the chance. This weather is going to get worse from what I'm hearing.
