After about 30 days in a row with committments everywhere I went I finally got to go to the lake today. The fish are biting great. I brought home 46. Didnt buy any minnows..not necessary this time of the year at Crab. Just used my trusty white Cottonmouth Fuzz E Tails with a white nibble. Alot of 9 to 11 inchers....with the largest being 13.5. I think the huge amount of dinks that were throw backs this time last year are just on the verge of keepers now. Next year and the year after should be really good. An interesting side note was that I found a few of these fish already starting to have an egg sack for spring.
nice mess of fish esp with all the wind yesterday
Nothing wrong with that mess!! Way to go!!:D

Way to go carpoop nice mess, did you curse the wind all day.
can't catch'em at home
The wind was awful yes. Mostly out of the south at about 18-20 mph. I fished a ledge on the West side that is about 50 yards long and they were everywhere in there and there was a ton of wind blowing into that ledge so even though it was a pain the fish seemed to be turned on by it.....i hate it...but they were there so I braved it out.
Nice catch! Up here on the Mississippi, the females have all had eggs for a couple months now.
nice mess of fish. it makes fighting the wind worth it if they are biting. I fished there the friday before on 11/7 and had alittle smaller mess, about the same size.
Hey Jeff thats a nice mess of fish. The fish I have been cleaning have had small egg sacks also. I went yesterday for about an hour, got tired of fighting the wind so I left and went deer hunting.
