Thread: shelbyville 11-14

Got on the lake at 8:00 and had to leave at noon, only had 5 over and 5 under. The bite really slowed down for me, didn't have time to move around and check other places out. The good news is that it only rained once. the bad news is that it lasted the whole 4 hours. I was fishing around Sand and Lick creek.
Has anyone been doing any good east of Fox Harbour?

Hey gonepostal, Yes there are fish biting east of Fox. Some of the better fish are coming from that area. Whitley, Forbes bottom and the many brush piles in between are holding very good fish. I havent been past fishhook yet because of the duck hunters but I'm sure you could catch some up river also. Just dont go till after 1:00.Good luck

Is there a rule regarding fishing around duck hunters?
I was going to one of my spots in Sand creek and had a duck boat close by
so I turned around and went back (didn't want to mess up anybodies hunt).

Only rule is -you cant go up the Kaskaskia river past fishhook untill 1:00 P.M.
No rules on main lake or coves at all. The Okaw is open any time as well but I give the hunters till 1:00 up there to.
