Well thanks to the 2 guided trips I took with Steve recently and the pendulum jigging technique he showed me, my buddy and I were able to get our limit of crappie today. The biggest was 13 inches and we had 5 that went 12 inches. I wish I'd have had the camera charged and ready so I could have gotten some pictures to load up.
We used chartreuse glo for the most part my buddy used orange and chartruese part of the time. We actually had more luck around trees in 10 to 15 feet of water than we did shallow.
By the way Steve no tendinitis today as I purchased an outlaw crappie rod and it is amazing how much lighter that pole is than the ones I used to use. I appreciate all the help you have given me it was money well spent.
Two of us fished Shelbyville today for five hours. We didn't get into the fish until after lunch. We found them half way back into a big cove in standing timber. Fish were 9 to 12 feet down in 12 to 15 feet of water. We ended up keeping 12 over ten inches and 10 under ten inches. Used minnows all day today - didn't even try a jig.
