Fought a strong Northwest wind today but the pattern I am using it doesn't matter much. The high clay banks all have down trees on them. With this last cold front the blacks have moved out just a little. So now I am casting a jig down the trunk of each tree and the blacks instead of being in about two feet of water they are in about four to six. The whites are still out on the ends of the trees in ten to fourteen feet. We got about four limits today with my most productive spot a deep stump loaded with X-Mas trees. We have got our triple limit on each trip no matter wind now for fourteen straight guide trips. Hope the streak keeps going. I have about ten more trips on the books then it is Kentucky Lake play time. Can't wait. What does an out of work fishing guide do. Go Fish of course. Back at it today see ya
It sounds like you are doing great. The game was not moving at the 2 hunting dog events I attended yesterday. I have often found that when the game is not moving, the fish don't bite well, at least for me. But, I am not an expert fisherman. Keep up the good work. Crappie fishing for a living is a tough job but someone has to do it. Good Luck!
Sounds great Steve--I,ll bet I can make that same run and post a lot different story--LOL
