Caught 20 or so in the snow/sleet/rain yesterday walkin docks, killin time. Lots of small fish. 4 over a pound. East wind. Plain jig on bottom 10 - 12'.
Has anybody been fishin Rend docks or wall?

Fish like hell, make up lies.
We drove past in the sailboat harder last Friday when we were going to Egypt checking the boat ramps. The bay was completely froze over then and in front of the wall was froze. We checked Ina, Sailboat,Gun Creek and the Golf Course and they all were froze. But the open water out away from the ramps were thawed. If a guy could get out passed the ramps he could fish.
Should open up this week with the warm weather and the comercial fisherman gettin on the water.

I'm ready bring on the warmer weather, I can't wait to start pulling them out of the bushes again.
can't catch'em at home
20 fish from a dock with 4 over a pound is a great day. But I am curious where you found 10-12' of water off of a dock at crab orchard? The only 2 places I can think of with a chance at that depth off a dock would be the Carterville boat and yacht club or maybe the old marina cove where all the houseboats are.
I was at Wolf Creek. Deep water there and lake is above pool now to boot. Not much brush around docks anymore, cast netters done pulled most of it up. Still find a few crappie that visit from time to time...and a lotta yeller bass.
