glad to hear the lake is still producing some good size fish! sounds like the parking situation has every one in a tizzy!! as I had read about in a previous thread. paying 5.00 dollars + from what I had heard. It would make me mad but years ago me and some real good friends used to hammer em. up in the steamy water by the power plant casting a cork with a jig right at the weed line. first thing in the morning right at sunrise. we would catch about 20 25 and get out of there by probably 12:00 or earlier. gees that probably 15 so years ago.when we lived on the lake.

I no what you mean RFY, I fell in love with crappie fishing down there. But I am not going to pay that parking price when rend lake is 15 min. up the road and egypt is about 30 min. down the road. They aggravated about 2 years a go when they started that and the price of minnows also. I don't catch the size at rend lake but there is still fish going in the freezer, and thats all that matter to me.

but up on the lake (E) we being the locals were always thight lipped.
when I got dwn here years ago 15+ come to find out they new about bmoths long before we even found out up that way. you would think It would be the other way around!!! Not. Dees good folks used to have to live off of fish wild game (country ham fatback and sugar smacks).. not jokeing. spider riggen was tuff for me with all the poles out there and all the snaggs and then some. but can you hammer them. check out tenn (bo's landing they some good folks he'll help ya if ya ever need any info. and this cite Is very Informative.

$5.00 parking fee
Gentleman
I live in Pennsylvania live to fish for crappie some 35 years now from my boat, have'nt ice fished for a good many years. If they charged $10.00 to park i would'nt complain since i pay $5.70 for a pack of pall malls $I.00 for a soda etc.Remember you aint gonna take it with you and i've never seen a hearse goin down the road loaded with money in it,Enjoy the time you have left and stop worrying about loose change.By the way i'm retired on a fixed income and can't wait till spring arrives.
Go get em boys
