    Default Rend Lake 1-9-08

Went to Rend today and had an awsome day! Caught my limit and had the biggest fish so far I have caught on Rend!! It weighed 1 lb. 10 oz. Put him in the freezer so I can make a stringer mount, just need a few more big ones!!:D

EFS - You had better luck today than we had on Shelbyville. We fished two hours and caught one 6 inch crappie. We fished brushpiles in 10 to 15 feet of water and standing timber in 15 to 18 feet of water - nothing. What was the depth where you took yours? The lake was like a mirror - very little wind.

man congrats on the catch ESF;...first stringer anyone has brought in this new year I believe

crappieken I am jealous of you guys. Sitting in school looking out the window at the weather was killing me! How was the lake? Mudddy muddy muddy? How much has it rose?

Dad called boat shot and they said we could bring it down but what it sounds like and the year it is...he said "buy a new one" No more boat for us till who knows when

Tyler - The lake level is just a hair over 600 feet - it hasn't gone up all that much from the recent rains. I didn't think it was all that muddy either. Sorry to hear about your boat problems. We took my buddy's boat today. I won't be breaking mine out of storage until the middle of March or so. You are welcome to hitch a ride with me once I am back on the water. See you at the game Friday night.

I caught these all in five to seven feet of water according to the depth finder. depth finder is new so I don't know how accurate yet. Haven't quite set it up. Don't know what the water temp was because I don't have that set up yet either. I was to busy catching fish!!Ha! Caught these in about two or three hours!! It was a day sent straight down from heaven!! No wind, warm weather, and lots o fish!!:D

Now that is a day to be happy with. Nice catch Greg. I would have went today if I did'nt have to work. Clint and I are going in the morning. We both have Thursdays off so we plan on tryin to catch a few. I went to the saw mill after work today and got a truck load of good stakes and plan on putting a few in between puttin a jig in the water.
