Well, the last day of the year went out with a bang, a very small one We put in at coal shaft to fish No name, Becket's Bluff, and Cottage Hill. To let some of the mid lake spots rest. The bite was slow all day. We did find a spot we caught five out of. Had one 12" fish and the rest 10 1/2 to 11 inch fish we ended with 12 crappie and one white bass. We stayed till the fat lady sang and she did. The wind turn to the northwest and temp. drop 15-20 degrees right when we were loading our boat

Frank.. No trouble at all launching the boat even with a two wheel drive. That will change as the water level decreases threw out the winter, that is if there is no run off in that time period. Funny that you ask about cottage hill. I personally never have heard of this area until this year. Someone at the boat ramp called this area cottage hill, so thats what we been calling it all winter. The location is the east bank when you are coming from the Wilborn boat ramp before you get to the R.R. bridge. I have fish this area for years but never have heard it call this name before. Hope this helps.
