    Default Paris Landing-Kentucky Lake

Got to the lake on Friday and it was raining and temps were about high forties and wind wasn't too bad. Got 27 and had 2 0ver 14 and a fat 15 inch fish and several 13 inch fish. Then Saturday we had high forties and dead calm and overcast. Got 37 and had just a couple of fish over 14 but caught a ton of fish. A hundred white and yellow bass from very small to about two and a half pounds. About forty drum perch on crappie jigs all in the 5-10 pound range. "Boy they hammer a jig". Then today we decided since the cooler was too full for any more we would only keep twelve-inch fish or bigger and we got seven by noon and left. Seventy-one for two and a half days not too bad and the boats were really out on this trip. Must of been fifty to seventy-five boats out. Very rarely do you get two full days in a row with slick water but that is why I flew out of here with little planning because I heard the wind forecast. We caught our fish in 14-24 ft. and the biggest fish came out of 28 ft. All caught on tubes in white or a shade of white. Quarter-ounce jigs painted white.

LSG, Awesome catch you got there. Nothing wrong with those fish. You just can't go wrong when you get on those slabs down on Ky lake. I've fished it a couple times and got spoiled real quick!!:D

    Default Paris landing

I have been going down there just to Paris Landing at least six times a year for five years and with my GPS and side-imaging don't need a guide as I have nearly a hundred waypoints. I always go in the winter so the fish are on the deep ledges and not so spread out. Light winds is all you need as you can't hide from them since you are in the middle of the lake.
