Thread: clinton lake

thinking about going fishing at clinton lake on sat. has anybody got any new fishing report? this fog might have everyone shut down. sure would like to get one more day of fishing this yr.

minnow mart on 54 is open on weekends still. they usually have minnows if you need them... i been having my luck on the dewitt bridge for crappie on left hand side if your coming from hwy 54 on the middle part of bridge...either with minnows or jigs under float bout 3 foot down....been using chart or red and char 1/16th or 1/24th oz jigs...they seem to hit real good early or late in day but hit all day long in spurts.

the 48 bridge has been good for white bass on chart or white 1/16th jig heads on the right side if you are coming from 54

also if desperate you can try the docks by mascoutin... havent been alot there but all have been very big and some nice white bass too

most likely i wont be there this weekend im gonna head to shelbyville spillway to try for some musky..havent heard ay reports from down there but gonna give it a shot

side note...you can basically catch them all winter long at them spots.. it doesnt freeze over, only thing you might need to adjust your presentation or move around a bit to find them as winter progresses

ahh fog dont keep the fish from biting buck lol

did not make it to clinton today, got tied up at saddle shop, a friend did go and said it was slow , he caught one crappie eleven inches long and that was it.
still hoping to go one more time this year.

dont feel bad i didnt get chit at shelbyville spillway.. hooked into one bout half hour after i got there and the rest of day didnt get squat
