hey john i saw on infisherman t.v. one time they were fishing for them redhorse suckers...you eat them too?
-Birdman-
nice catch, john whats your opinion on the best fishing line for crappie.? in that 6 to 8 ib. test.?
all depends on where your fishing. i use 4lb most of the time buck...but if im fishing in a lot of timber ill use 6 but never 8.....frank i caught them on a little chartreues paddletaddle tail bass assassin on 1/16 oz jig under a float bout 3 foot down....in maybe 8 foot of water on windblown shore
heck no birdman, looks to much like a carp for me to try to eat. lol
edit.. just checked and state record on silver redhorse is 4 lbs 8 ounces...darn man that fish was that if not more.. oh well wont be first state record i released

i just was looking at your fishing pole, and the reel looked like green line so i was wondering what you was using? i use trilene xl. but i know some people like curtain brands.
trilene maxx 4 lb is on that rod.....them fish were caught on the dewitt bridge down the road from mascoutin entrance.. couldnt find any white bass today at all
is that your favorite line? i bet you will be at clinton tomorro, i live up here at pontiac and the weather is not that good up here.
nah actually im trying to make it to shelbyville spillway tommorow for some muskies, but all depends on weather, if its too nasty i might just try clinton again
its my favorite light line...my favorite line overall is suffix elite for bigger fish
