Ok guys like I said looking for something simple inexpensive but useful. I have never lived and died by my depth finder, but know one would improve my results. Here is what I am looking at. I will most likely buy three of them two for the big boat and one for the small boat. I was just going to get one and move it around but the darn transducers and cables are almost as much as the unit. Do you believe this will work or is there something better in this price range.

Yes, it'll work fine. I second what catchncrisco said also. Make sure you also look online alot, lots of sales now, as their really trying to get rid of older models.
