    Default Garmin maps?

I've been thinking about getting a new fishfinder and leaning toward a Garmin 93sv. Thought I would ask if any of you guys had any thoughts on that unit or suggestions. Also I would like to know what central Illinois lakes are on it I mostly fish sangchris, shelbyville, coffeen. Thanks

I have the 73 dv and love it. All those lakes should be on there. Surprised even many Conservation Area lakes are on there. Easy to find the list on Garmin's site.

I bought a 93SV last October because of the price. I’ve not used it much but so far I am very happy with it. The only problem with my model is that when you update the maps you have to leave an SD card in the unit to read from which really is no big deal but the newer units load the updates to unit. Also you can create your own very easily. Lake of Egypt was not on the unit but I have found that others have mapped the lake and now I can download it from Garmin’s web site. This link will tell you what lakes are in your area. Search Garmin LakeVü Lakes

Just bought two echomap 73 sv plus units. Only had them out once. I'm going to like them!
Sangchris and shelbyville appear to be mapped, not coffeen. I just checked on active Captain app. I'll try to remember to double check tomorrow, on the unit. I'm not sure if it's on the lakevü ultra HD card, get on garmins site and look. Use the link from empty cooler.
The plus units are touch screen, come with quickdraw contours loaded.
At first I was leaning away from touch screen. Now that I have it, I like.

I have the 73sv and love it! Easy to use and you don’t need to buy mapping cards.

Thanks for the responses. I finally pulled the trigger today on the 93 sv. The one I got is last years model. From what I can tell the biggest difference is touch screen. I'm very anxious to get it set up. Thanks again

Good for you! Once you try / use quickdraw, you'll never go back! I love it. Make sure you read and understand the instructions, watch some videos, ask questions.
Lake offset, etc. On YouTube, type in quickdraw.
Criss cross an area, you'll watch the " contour lines" appear.
