    Default Sales help?

Anyone got any suggestions for the best source to sell or trade a rod and reel I have no use for anymore? Perhaps a tackle shop that buys/trades? Internet site other than EBay? I live in Troy, IL and would prefer to find a a shop around here that does trades and might be interested in the setup I want to sell.

What I've got is a very smooth and strong Okuma reel (Epixor EF40) paired with a real nice 8'6" Calypso rod...a setup that I used only TWICE for salmon fishing when I lived in Washington a couple years ago (caught a real nice 20+ pound King on it...pictured in my avatar with subject rod/reel). Well now that I'm back in Illinois, I'm primarily fishing for crappie and the occasional bass, so this setup is overkill for my needs and now just sits in my garage collecting dust. I suppose it's probably a good setup for muskie, northerns, or maybe even walleye, but I don't fish for any of those species and don't plan to anytime soon...unless I move to Minnesota and I don't see that ever happening.

    So, anyone got any suggestions?

    Thanks!

craigslist would give you a bigger market to sell or trade. a local tackle shop will not give you as much as you can get on craigslist.

Thanks for the tips guys. Didn't know there was a swap section on this site so I'll check it out. Will probably try Craigslist first, and if that doesn't work, maybe try Bluff City as a last resort. Trades don't usually amount to much and this is a GREAT rod and reel that deserves decent value in return.

    Thanks again!

Before selling it, have you seen some of the catfish around here?
    Just an idea ;-)
