Thanks, for all the info !

Do I need to stay in coves or get out on the main ?

Or What ever is working ?

Like I said before... Looking for bigger slabs.
My personel best is 15 inches. and wanna break that by as much as I can.

I do Taxidermy for a hobby and it pays for my toys and vacations.

Heres a pic of a custom replica of my biggest. I mold my fish and then cast it. to make a forever lasting trophy. Will out last any skin mount and dont have to worry about about humidity and temp changes that make a skin mount vunerable.

Manny, I have made the trip to Ky Lake three times and have stayed at Shawnee Bay Resort all three times. It is an EXCELLENT resort that has been family owned for about 35 yrs. Very clean cabins and the owner will point you in the right direction for fish. We scored big on redear, gills and crappie all 3 times we went. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Hope this helps you

I have never been to KY lake yet but I have been to Reelfoot every year for about the last ten years or so. I can tell ya that the fish in the Foot are really nice but like someone said it is really dangerious with stumps. If you dont know where to run or go it can be bad. So if it were me and I didn't know either lake and wanted to at least fish, I would go to KY. I love the Foot and will never stop going but it took a while to learn it. I know people that go to KY lake a lot and they catch a lot of nice fish.

Good luck on what lake you decide.

Big Crappie Go To Kentucky Lake, Headed There Late March And Early April.. We Always Fish Jonathan Creek Because Its The Only Area We Know- Big Water.... Will Be Down At Reelfoot May 1st Thru The 5th.. Always Stay Up On The North End At Grays Camp... But Will Try To Catch Those Big Bull Bluegills And Catch Crappied Here And There Jigging Pads And Trees... Reelfoot Is One Neat Lake And Something You Dont See Around Here... Always Stay On The North End Because If Its Real Windy There Are Places Still To Go Fish And Duck Out Of The Wind, May Not Be As Good, But If I Drive To Tennessee I Want To Be Fishing... Weve Caught Some Big Gills There But I Can Say I Have Never Caught A Two Pound Crappie There Though....... Dont Expect To Bring Home Cooler Full Everytime Because Its Hit Or Miss Like Any Other Lake...

    Tough Question

For a custom cast( Replica ) of your original fish your looking at about a $100.00 average.

Then the paint job runs about $9.00 per inch.

Yes there's people that do it cheaper but as with anything else you get what you pay for.:D
