Manny that is a "cool" little boat. I bet you were having a blast the 1st time you launched it. Looks to me like you did a fine job building it. i am with CKJ that boat would work nice at horseshoe. Just keep it near the banks don't go way out in the middle.

    Thanks, People

The boat is really stable, believe it or not I can actually stand up in it and cast. I do occasional as the seats are wooden and I get church butt after a few hours of sitting... LOL

After reading that Horseshoe lake is only about 5 foot deep average. It sounds like the same kind of lake I fish ( But a back water of the Meramec)
And the lake I fish is about the average same depth, with an occasional 7 to 8 feet in a couple spots. Gonna take the advise and launch some buckets out with concrete and some PVC tubing mid summer. Ill then put the GPS to it.

I dont think I would want to be in a lake with boats running though LOL It could get a little hairy:D

If you Google ( Free Boat Plans ) you will get many designs.

With a lake that shallow I do believe the trolling motor is possibly spooking some fish. But oaring is very minnimal and quiet. But for the quietness of a small row boatI give up the comfort of my bigger boat luxuries

Gonna hit Simpson lake Friday morning and hopfully get into them. I also plan on hitting Kentucky Lake as soon as it turns on good.

As for fishing - It sounds like you got the fish there - I believe I'd drop me some trees along the edge or sink some brush piles Might need a bigger boat for that tho. Gimme a holler - I got just the rig and I won't tell anyone - I promise. LOL
Her you go take you pick I built the Apple pie 7 foot dingy and modified it a little.
