Has anyone been out on the ice yet here in central Il yet? Thinking about going out tomorrow if thick enough.

Dad and I went for about 3 hours today and had a solid 4 inches of ice about everywhere we went. Really struggled finding them good untill 4 o clock and then we couldnt keep a rod in. We caught gill after gill, some nice ones. We kept 20 real nice ones all 8 to to 9 inchers. Dont plan on cleaning them tonight though...I was even catching them on a crappie tube while fishing for crappie

OUCH! looks like someone might need a new summer job.... haha...actually I was working outside all day. I put all the landscaping stuff in storage with the boat, cleaned the garage, etc. and yes, my butt was pretty cold.
