    Default clinton lake shut down

Went To Clinton Yesterday. Caught A Few Crappie, Then Got Into Some Stripper Action. Caught About 50 Whites And Strippers. Had One Spool Me, But Fortunately Got Off Before He Broke Me Off.
Does Anyone Know When The Lake Will Shut Down The Power Plant To Re-fuel? With Shelbyville High, And The Dam Pouring Water Out At 3040, It Is Tough To Find A Fishing Spot.

Sounds like you had a good time at Clinton yesterday. Don't know anything about shut down but the refueling part sounds interesting The fishing has slowed some below the dam at Shelbyville. The last time out I only manged one Sauger but the last two weeks it was on for sure. At least you can find a place to fish now. The last hour of light seems to be the best.

I remember the fish kill a while back.Lots of carp/buffalo,but I also seen some brute walleye and alot of stripers,as well as some crappie scattered all over the bank. That was sad to see. They (power plant),ought to be held accountable for that.It was a shame indeed.

I have a buddy that works at the power plant at Clinton, Jan 11th is correct, and the shutdown is currently scheduled to last 18 days 10 hours... He also noted that if they come within 2 days of that schedule he would buy me a steak dinner, so it sounds like you might want to plan for more in the 21+ day range;-|
