Default Off topic...but did anybody get any Big deer this season?

Just wondering if anyone had much luck this year deer hunting. The state as a whole has been down, my dad and I have had a pretty good year. Dad got a 10 point with his bow and I got a big 8 point with my shotgun. We aren't big buck hunters we just go for meat. Just so happened that those two walked in range for us. As for the rest of the season, I doubt I make it out much the rest of the year. Maybe try to make it out for doe seasons in Coles County. Dad and I already have our freezers full so any other deer will be finding homes for some neighbors that need it.

Hope everyone else had some luck this season.

Dad and I have been real luck this year. I'm in my finaly semester of my undergrad and dad had saved up a bunch of his vacation for the season. So we got to hunt together a lot. We saw more mature bucks in our woods than any year before. We were lucky enough to catch a couple of them, along with some does.
Now that hunting season is over its time to start getting ready for the spring crappie season! I just got back my crappie mount from last year, a big white female, so I got the itch again. We're planning on heading to Kentucky lake in March. And me and a buddy of mine are planning on trying to make it down there sometime in January too. I'm getting pretty pumped!

Not a buck but a nice doe for the freezer, plus I walked away from the house stepped into the woods she jumped up and looked at me... BOOM. 2 1/2 minutes into the hunt and a doe down!!!
