Thread: Local tournaments

Here are the dates for the Southern Illinois Crappie association. sica 2010 tournament dates: march 21 egypt; april 11 kinkaid; may 2 rend; may 16 carlyle; may 30 smithland.
Have any dates been set for the Springield crappie club?

The SCC dates won't be set until the january meeting. How many open tournaments do you have down there Clint?

I'm not sure what you mean by open, but you have to be a member to fish any of the tournaments. I think membership is like $15 a year and entry fee for a tournament is $100 per team. Joel Drury who is the president told me he was working on the 2010 entry forms now. I assume they are the same, but can't be sure. The classic will be in the fall and should be at Rend. You have to fish at least two of the five spring tournaments to qualify for the classic.

When I said open, I meant open to anyone, yes. At the SCC we hold club and open tournaments, opens are the money making entity for the club. We talked at our classic about having a state club challenge where we would take on you guys and alternate lakes. What do you think?

Sounds like an idea to toss around for sure. Let me know what you come up with. I am interested and I'm sure some of the other guys would be also.

SICA membership fees are $25 now im pretty sure...plan on making it to all of them but dunno about egypt...

forgot to say...they are holding a tournament on horseshoe lake(Granite city) with $60 per boat with 100% pay out and another one on carlyle put on by the local shops...once i get more info on them i will let you guys know...

Nate, actually I have not fished for a little over two weeks now. The days I had free the wind blew 25+. I hope to go this week, but I also want to do some duck and goose killing, so we shall see. You fishing CUSA or Crappiemasters in 2010?
