Thread: Lake Shelbyville Fishing Report

Any reports from the crappie fisherman this week at Lake Shelbyville? Headed there Sunday morning, hoping to hear of some good results. Thanks

So, did anyone brave the cold today and limit out? How's the lake up north? Also, where is the "JUNKYARD"?

I went today. Put in on the south end of the lake at 8:am. and fished til 3:00pm. Water temp was 43. I was one short of a limit. I brought home 14. No real Pigs. Biggest a little over 12" and 3 just over 11". A little more wind than what was forcasted. Caught most of my fish on red and chartuse anywhere from 12 to 18' feet down. I did not see any ice where I was fishing. Hope I can find open water next weekend but, I'm not holding my breath.

Good job Pig! Were they mostly blacks down there? Or were the bigger ones white crappe?

11 of the 14 were black. The 12" was a white.
