Default Debating on going to Lou Yeager

I am debating if I want to go to Lou Yeager Sunday or not?...I am concerned that it may be to muddy...I am sure the north end is going to muddy with the creeks running into the lake...

Would appreciate any updates on this lake...If anyone goes within the next few days...

It is about 50 min round trip drive to Litchfield for me...Just hate to spend all that money on gas..

Jeremy, I fished the Lou a few weeks back and it was a waste of fuel....lake looked like chocolate milk. I wonder if the lake depaerment is planning on a winter drawdown...has any one heard??

    Default Yeager

Dont know the water color but my nephew brought me 17 nice slabs this afternoon from yeager. Black and yellow jigs he called them bumble bee color. Said thet all came within 50 yards of the boat ramp. He usually uses 1/16 jigs 2 at a time about 12 inches apart. He said he caught about 30 and the ones he gave to me were all between 11 and 13 inches. Ive fished yeager off and on for years and never got into fish even close to these.
The fish you release may be a kids fish of a lifetime!

    Hi,

I fished Yeager the past two weekends...Caught nice quality size crappie...From 9-11 inches...I think the crappie are getting bigger in this lake...Use to catch all dinks..Now seem to catch some that are bigger than normal...I probably will go Sunday...Since it looks like next week the weather is going to be bad...

Went to Yeager today and caught around 30 crappie...Had about 7 or 8 crappie in the range of 8-11 inches long...Caught all of them on minnows..I probably would have had a few more..But, had some motor issues..So, I had to troll all the way back to the ramp...I think I got some water in my gas tank...I am going to empty the tank and put some new frest gas in it..Hopefully, this takes care of the problem...

Talke to a guy from Troy Illinois while I was fishing...If you come on here...I was the guy in the bass tracker with the 25hp...

Let me know how you ended up doing...
