I've been to the one in Byron Illinois . It's a good time . If you don't get there early enough they sometimes run out . I can't really say what they taste like it depends on the breading they use to coat them in but they are good .

I have never heard of this before. There should be plenty of servings to go around with all the Thanksgiving Turkey's. I would try them if given the opportunity

I would have went to Chaleston's meal but I went to the Rocky Mountain oyster event at Mt Vernon instead.

Of course, after such a meal, you have to use a coonhunter's tooth pick to clean your teeth. Now, who uses one of those?

The Big Blue store in Seymour IN, in the 70's use to have a weekend of fun. Golfing, fishing and of course the turkey oyster dinner. The owner of Big Blue would reserve the golf course and hire the chef's to do the cooking. Vendors from all over would come and have fun. Started as a joke when a few got together, played cards and the owner introduced the turkey oysters. Of course that was not the name at that time, but most who tryed them, all went back for seconds.

I have tryed for years to find a supply of turkey oysters so I could share with my fishing buddys's. I prefer them better than mountain oysters.
