Well my 8 year old daughter did it to me again. We went to a subdivision pond in Northern Illinois. I fished there on Thursday and caught a 15 inch white crappie and several from 10 to 13 inches. It is with that in mind that we went back yesterday to try our luck. We started fishing and right away my daughter lost 2. She was a bit unhappy. Then i lost one and said see kid thats why they call it fishing. She said i know dad and rolled her eyes. I Think she has heard me say it close to a thousand times. At that she caught a largemouth bass. Then another and another that frown was turned upside down as she struggled with another one. My nephew showed up with two of his boys and they started to catch bass. As it turns out at the end of the day my daughter caught 19 bass I caught 9 and the boys caught several between them for a total of 49 largemouth bass caught. One White crappie at 12 inches was caught for a 50 fish day. Good times were had by all. We all made good memories. Don't know what happened to the crappies but we never really missed them this day. My daughter out fished me again. And i wouldn't have it any other way. All Bass were released.

Great Day To Be Out, You've Got To Start Kids Fishing, It Could Pay Off With A Fishing Scholarship. Today Is Not So Nice Of A Day And I Think It Is Going To Rain For The Next Few Days.

I love taking my girls fishing, as long as the fish are biting they stay interested when its slow they wander around leaving me to mind all the bobbers. they are now not happy with gills any more its got to be crappie or bass[not a problem with me]
life time memories

Thought I would share a few memory pics from earlier this year. I have four kids and they love to go with dad any time they can. My son caught the monster crappie on a Zebco 33 and a second hand rod. He was bank fishing and landed this nice crappie on his own. Then there is the carp. They thought that they caught the biggest fish in the world! I love memories like this. Hopefully my kids can carry on the tradition in the family. And by the way.......that is not me in the picture holding the carp........my pipes are bigger!!!! LOL!!! Keep em fishing guys!!!

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
Excellent photos I think my daughters have the same boots your son has. Its funny they wear them hot or cold, dry or wet. That's one nice crappie.
UFCREEL thats a great way to spend time with your daughter. It dont matter what kind of fish they are catching as long as they are catching fish.
dkb23 thats a nice speck he has in the picture. Looks like that one was caught in the spring because of it's colors. Awesome pictures.
Oh yea and I think everyone that has kids has purchased those rubber boots at one time. It seems like just yesterday I was in the boat with my boys in their little black $5.00 boots from Wal Mart. Now they wearing adult sized Lacross. Enjoy them while they are really young because they do grow up fast.
