How's the bite this weekend at Shelbyville
I was planning on going out tomorrow morning(Monday) to get a little crappie fishing in. I was just wondering if anyone has been catching some this weekend and any hints on how they bite with rain in the forecast. What is the magic depth I should target?

It will be tough with the wind and rain im sure if you go. I know that friday I caught nice fish shallow 2ft and less and deep 20ft and less...saturday all fish were caught shallow and from what I heard most other people caught them shallow as well. I would think the rain and cold front will push them off the banks a bit. I personally would start deep around 15-20ft and out of the wind
Good luck and let us know if you go..

Too much rain and wind Birdman, didn't get to enjoy my day off on the lake. Looks like rain in the forecast for most of the week. I may get lucky and get to go on Sunday. Were you throwin up at the bank with a bobber catching them that shallow or over some structure? Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it. I like to try to find out the scoop before I head to the lake. Thanks again!

You would have been a brave man goin out today, but im sure some ventured out. We threw together a pretty good pattern friday and saturday of dabblin the willows with atleast 1.5ft of water on them..just work them methodically. Certain willows are better than others. Red/chartruese jigs and black/chartruese for us..
