Fished the south end Sat, and Sunday with four clients with myself taking two and LSG also taking two. Sat. the wind blew hard out of the west and it made it hard to stay out on the ledges. We fought it until 1:00 PM and the batteries were about done so we headed for shelter out of the wind for the rest of the day. We ended up with 22 with only with 6 being under 10" mark.
Our biggest seven were all over 12" and all white crappie. Day two was like someone flip a light switch, calm winds but much colder in morning with warming temps. in the afternoon. Stayed with the same pattern all day, with the light winds made it much easer to target isolated stumps as you work your way up and down a ledge. this pattern should hold up and even get better when they start pulling water to draw the lake back down. We ended the day with 29 with seven under and the one in his right hand was pushing the 15" mark. The one in his left hand is 12" plus. Our seven fish avg. for the day was about the same but we had a big fish for a kicker. Didn't see Steve all day Sunday and only once on Sat. I'm sure he will chime in a give us his report.
