Shelbyville too muddy for Tuesday?
I'm heading over from Springfield with my dad on Tuesday. With all of the rain and the lake coming up will the north end be to muddy to even attempt? He also is a minnow fisherman and never taken much interest in jig fishing. Will I still even be able to find minnows at any of the baitshops for him?
Thanks for any and all info.

Saturday we fished quite a bit up on north end and wish I hadn't. I shared a two day guide trip with Ken Wilson. He took his clients to the ledges on south end we went to shallow cover on north end. The water was fishable on Saturday but by Sunday pure mud. We caught some fish on mid depth cover on Saturday up by RR bridge but Sunday that too was muddy. Sunday we stayed south end and water down there is just fine and I don't really think it will get any worse unless they open the gates in the next day or so and let all that muddy water from the north end come to the south.
I did notice that my deep ledge spots weren't holding fish but my mid depth spots were. We kept in 10-15 instead of 15-22. Coves with creeks coming in like Skull and Lithia very muddy. I would stay on main lake ledges Eagle to Ninth St. for next few days. This won't take to long to recover, just have to deal with lake up five feet for a while

Thanks for the help Steve. I'll be staying Eagle Creek and south then.
