Switched er up a little bit today and headed to L. Mattoon after hunting this morning and some brunch. Like CarpPoop said what a great day out! Started off fishing with Shild, but put a whoopin on him so he went home and went hunting :D Then my girlfriend met up with me since she lives 5 minutes from the lake and we finished the day out. She caught several and even a keeper...hope she is hooked!! We caught some toads today. Really really fat 13inchers and then the rest 10's and up.

Nice mess of fish, girlfriend getting into fishing and going hunting too, all together makes for a great weekend. You are a very fortunate man, life is good for the birdman.
Looks like Lake Mattoon has a nice crappie population, I'll have to try it sometime.
