Thread: Big Pond Today

Client forgot rainsuit so running around in rain wasn't feasible. We called it early. He got more than enough crappie and I got a five pound walleye and a five pound channel catfish which was quite the surprise on a nine-foot crappie rod, also got a four-pound Bass today as well. My day for big non-species fish. Thank goodness I was using braided line so I could land these fish.

Please stop the rain since I am out for next six days.

I often do my best fishing in the light rain like yesterday. I always keep a rain suit in my boat.

I caught a 13 pound flathead on my crappie pole this year. I keep my drag set just right in case I hook into a catfish, bass, or striper on my crappie rigs. I try to head them for the deep water and just let them fight the pole.

Bonus fish for sure .
