weird fall?
Anyone got ideas on why the shallow bite is non-existent this fall? I know it is still early, but if the bite is this good and they still havent moved up the creeks, I mean watch out, it may be late december and you guys will be still burnin em up..just wonderin...

I just wonder what negative effect on the shallow water bite all this rain and overcast skies have caused. Due to the lack of sunny days, the shallow water may not have warmed enough to attract the shad. Just my 2 cents.

I Have Caught Them Shallow, In The Creeks, And On The South End Of The Lake, But Not As Much As Usual For This Time Of Year. Normally They Are Up Against Shallow Wood In Coves. Don't Know What The Deal Is, But As Long As I Can Still Catch Some Deep--no Problem.

On Rend Lake, I caught them shallow and in the creeks on a couple different occasions this fall, but it did'nt last long because of the rains. The high and muddy water has added a new a spin to things. I have been catching fish, but not like a normal October.
