    Default Big Pond Today

Man I am really on the fish on the deep ledge bite. I know the north end is rising and dirty but my deep bite is just so dependable every day. Today we had four good looking limits and had about a half dozen over twelve but we also had about twenty-five eleven or bigger.

Fishing mid lake from Eagle to Lone Point on ledges in fourteen to twenty-two feet. Black crappie in the fourteen range and the bigger whites are on bottom in eighteen to twenty.

Started out today fishing a big three-inch chartreuse bucktail and my first three fish were twelve inches. Thought I was on to something but client really started getting the fish on the same red head Bighead jig with the brown and chartreuse tube only today we were injecting it with the crappie nibbles. It really doubles the size of the tube and makes it look more like an umbrella tube. I switched over to Bighead but I am going to experiment more with the bucktails this week.

Still have many good openings left and like I said I am really on the fish.

Steve sure sounds like fun . I got to buy new trolling motor batteries before I go out again . 2 years old and they last only about 4 and 1/2 hours . O well it's only money and I'll make more tomorrow .

    See ya Kevin ><)))*>

Glad to hear your on them Steve. If it is anything like Rend, it is starting to look like mud. They did not even have to pump water from the main lake into the subs this year because of the water levels. Good for the duck hunters not so good for the fisherman.
