Shelbyville Today
Fought the wind today just to stay in areas that have been producing for me. Had but one client with me today but we got a very good looking two man limit. We actually were within five fish of our limit by ten O'clock so we opted to hit some ledges where the bigger white crappie are. We had a half dozen twelve inch fish, no huge ones but we also left some of the best ledge spots for tomorrow as I have the same client. Our thirty filled a five gallon bucket though as all of our overs were eleven inches plus and our unders were fat nine and seven-eights.
Still fishing the Bighead Jig 15 to 22 feet deep. Red head with brown and chartreuse Midsouth tube. Breaking out my bucktail hair jigs tomorrow. Will see how that goes.
The lake is definately got some color and the coves mid lake are a lot more stained and the bite in the coves I have been using has slowed down. I would think north end really has some color now with all the water coming in.

Roger- No they havent.
North end isnt much more stained than it has been... still very fishable. Went up in the kaskaskia and caught two keepers and that was it. There was so much current your line literally went sideways after droping it down in 2ft of water...Dont know how anybody else did on north end (bo woods north) but it flat out was tough tough tough for me and my partner today. Wind was brutal. Ran down to coal shaft area, fishing ledges like steve said only in the 10-18foot range and finally found some nice keepers as well. The water was still really clear though there? Dont know why really...
