    Default Bad timing at Rend

    Hi all.
O.K. my timing just stinks on ice.
Went to Rend today, absolutely beautiful day.....except I didn't get there until 1:30pm, I know CX, you said daybreak to 0930. It was a bit windy for me to learn the technique as CarpPoop had outlined for me and there was a bass tournament in progress. Lots of boat traffic around the bridge.
I'm going to attempt to go to Crab Orchard on Monday and concentrate on Crappie with those Cottonmouth Jigs and Nibbles.
I'll let y'all know how it goes if I can get out.

Floater...i went to Crab today and the bite was way off compared to last weekend. I mean WAY off. I scratched out about 10 and pulled out at 1 and went to another small lake near my home and got another 20 eaters or so to make it worth getting the knife out. Dont know what my plan is for tommorrow. Must have been all the rain the last 2 days. They wont lock their jaws for long...but I dont know about them right now.

Well after reading this I'm glad I went to the woods. Seen does and a button buck and the button was the only one that got close enough shout, the others were about 60 yards. I let him go to live another day.

I have been blasting out a few squirrels to my squirrel dogs. The hunting will be better when they get all of the crops out. I hope they get them all out before coon season. I ran the gas out of my boat motor last week when I came in from crappie fishing. It will be just hunting until March.

I love hunting Pheasants with my German Short Hair Pointer. One of the best things going for me in the fall / winter time. I usually get my limit on Pheasants....... Wish I could say the same for my crappie fishing. I still love both they are out doors and in Gods creation which is much better than inside watching TV or working. My son will be going on his 1st Pheasant hunt this fall which is even more exciting for me.
