Put in at Eagle Creek around 6 am . The dock there is still not fixed . The ramp is still slick when wet . The guy that fished with me today got a little wet . I couldn't help but laugh when he slipped and fell first thing this morning . Any way we headed down to point 2 and fished that area all morning . Started with minnows 6 to 8 feet down and caught several shorts with a couple of overs and lots of bait stealing blue gills . We switched to jigs and started catching better fish . We ended up with 10 overs and 10 unders . Biggest was 11 1/2 inches . All we could catch from a spot was a couple of fish and they would stop biting . Best color was yellow and white 2 inch Kalin grubs on a 1/16th ounce chartruse jig . Water was very clear . The water temp was 77 degrees .

Kevin - Thanks for the report. My wife and I are going to hit it Monday. Glad to see they are hitting on jigs. Lately between getting a poor count and having them die soon after getting on the lake I have decided to try jigs. I always get a good count at the bait shop at Wolf Creek and the minnows survive well most of the day in my buckets, but they are not open on Monday or Tuesday.

Ken, Lepricahn landing is closed on mon & tues? The wife, son & myself are going to wolf creek camping for 4 days Sun-thurs. Where else can we stock up on minnows? Or should we launch & head to lithia marina? Ya see a white 14' smokercraft stop & say HI. Hope they still be hittin, we usually fish from wolf creek south to around the dam. Maybe will try findley if south is slow dont like going too far north in case of weather. Any tips appreciated. Thanks, Rich

Kevin - My wife and I brought home 13 keepers last Monday. Took most of them on brush in 12 to 15 feet of water off a steep bluff. Also got a few in standing timber. We probably caught between 25 and 30 for the day - just was difficult to get the bigger ones. Everything was caught on minnows. I am going out again tomorrow with a friend as my wife wants to shop.
