Shelbyville boat launching
This is kind of a followup on my last question, but what ramp on shelbyville is it easiest to launch and load when solo? All these reports are making me want to go down there sometime this week. In the past I think we've always used Eagle, but the dock is a little distance away.
I also have a walking cast/boot on my leg right now, so a close dock would be nice. Thanks.

natedog - The ramp at 9th Street is fairly close to where you park. It has a decent dock to tie up your boat also. There is also a restroom right there with flush toilets. It also has a cleaning station with electricity if you use an electric knife. It is locacted on the northeast end of town at Shelbyville.

I would agree with CK, 9th street is probably the place I would recommend with a walking cast/boot on. DNR stays on the doc level pretty regularly also, we were there earlier this spring and the water was coming up pretty quick, they were moving the doc when we launched and again when we trailered. Several of the other ramps that I have used in the past have a much longer walk, and often much more of a grade to walk up and down in transit between truck and boat.
