I could tell when we pulled in the parking lot [wolf creek] that the crappie
was heatin up--been goin one day a week and havin the lake to ourselves
Get to first spot [boat] --lots of boats movin
Anyway we quit at 11:00 [out of minnows ] paid for 4 doz.--got screwed--
bite was slow but steady--18 over and 3 short --never did catch the shorts--Tried a jig when the minnows gave out and caught the largest one--a shade over 12--Then the water lice started and we quit

WTG Frank, I would like to get back up there, maybe this fall. sorry to hear about the minnow deal, we got minnows at Lithia, she set us up pretty good.

duc hntr- when you get minners at lithia did they give yyou them itty bitty suckers?

My brother, grandpa and uncle set up camp today @ lithia... got out for the evening and said they caught 8 over 13 under...

Bman - have fun at baseball.... I started coaching my MS team last week and it has dampened my fishing time too! I know what you mean about Lithia Minnows, they sell minnows for people that fish, not fisherman.

I graduated from Lakeland in 73. Gary Gaieti (sp) was the best ball player Lakeland has ever had. I know I misspelled his name. He p;ayed for both the Birds and Cubs amoung other teams.

birdman, most of the minners were small suckers (from Lithia) but they seemed to like them better than the big ones we got from Findley.
