How are the racks looking up there this year? How about the crops? Will they be ready early or late? We had a lot of spring rain and that generally helps the racks. We will be in Christian County October 29 until November 7.

Thanks Big Willie. Are you close to Taylorville or Christian County? Lasr year the first week of November it was 75 degrees with a 25 mph wind. The crops were still standing and I only had a shot at two nine pointers that would score maybe 120. I am looking for something larger along with everyone else.

We stop at Rend Lake Sporting Goods every year on our way up. The guy there is always nice. We have thought about hiring a guide and take a day crappie fishing on one of our annual trips. That would save us from pulling our boat that far just for one day of fishing. We have black crappie in Georgia and Mike and I have never caught a white crappie. Maybe one day. Do you know of any property owner we might could talk to about bow hunting? We hunt a forty acre tract and the farmer only charges $100.00 each to hunt for as many days as we want to. The only problem with hunting forty acres is if you have an off year you do not have any options. Thanks for your time and input.
