Thread: 7/3/09

Had to do some work today to get these keepers. Not because they were not biting but because of all the "pleasure boaters". Some of those people are crazy and don't care if you are fishing. They will ski and run right next to you. Oh well turned out pretty decent.

Unfortunately the only people that seem to care are the ones that both fish and pleasure boat, the others dont seem to care what the other guy is doing....Nice catch, Scott. We went Thursday with no luck, glad to see someone is still catchin em!!!

I know I could catch some fish today (7/4/09), but, I just can't stand the rocking of the boat the waves made by all of the idiots that will be on the lake today. PLus, if someone saw me catch a fish somewhere, they would sit on the spot all weekend until nothing could be caught there for weeks. There will be police officers and CPOs out today in force, but, they can't stop all of them..
Today, I will just get some chores done that I have been putting off and going fishing instead of doing chores. Monday morning, I will have the lake to myself and will be caught up on my chores.

While I am no where near the experienced as you all, I agree about the pleasure boaters from my experiences on Shelbyville Memorial Day weekend. I wanted to head there again this weekend but decided against it...plus there is that issue of not having a vehicle with a hitch to haul the boat right now.

I too am doing chores right now as I wade through a year's worth of stuff just stored around the house instead of being put away. I am working on the dining room which is an absolute mess and will work my way through and to the living room sometime by next fall!

I might hit a friend's farm pond tomorrow just south of town as long as the weather stops raining!
