I am going to be fishing Carlyle in the next month or so with a buddy that lives out there in Breese. I know all of us over on the Missouri board are helping people out with locations and how, what and where to go. I was kind of hoping you all would do the same. I've never been on Carlyle, and only viewed it on Google Earth. I haven't seen any posts about it either, so I'm wondering if there are even fish in the lake!Any help would be appreciated

I'm assuming you are asking about crappie. I can't help you with crappie but I do good catfishing there. I drift with shrimp on circle hooks and use Hoss's Hog dip bait with dip worms. Catch some nice cats every time out that way.
Last time I was there the water was real low, and you could see every christmas tree that was placed there in the coves. But there were about 3 boats around everyone of them.
There wasnt a chance to get in next to brush. They were parked on them even though they werent biting because at some point they would start. I was able to catch 1 descent one.
Really not worth the trip in my oppinion. I would check out Rend Lake
good luck

I go to Tamalo boat ramp and go up to the creeks and the old river bed. be carefull with that big boat. Maggot . east fork and north fork are good but stumpe and you need to just be careful. 10 fish 10inch limits in effect
Thanks for the information. If I can talk him into going somewhere else, I will, but he lives right there.
Thanks again,
