I always camp at Lithia Springs, just a preference, on Columbus Day Weekend. It is a bit of the run to where I like to fish, but we like the campground better.

Default camp grounds

There are several C.O.E. campgrounds but not sure how late in the year they stay open. There are two state parks (Eagle Creek and Wolf Creek State Parks). Wolf Creek will be open till Nov 1 and Eagle Creek will be open until sometime in Dec. Both of these parks are about mid lake area Wolf Creek on the East side and Eagle Creek on the West side of the lake. Wolf Creek has sites that can be reserved. Unless going to be there on Columbus Day should not have trouble getting a site. Wolf Creek phone number is 217.459.2831. Eagle Creek phone number is 217.756.8260.

If need more info feel free to send me a PM.

on our way to KY lake this passed April. Nice campground w/ good sites. Many of the sites are level graveled and BIG. Unfortunately didn't have time to put the boat in the water as I was installing a new finder for the one evening we camped. I really would like to make another run back down there and try the fishing one of these days tho. Post how you do in Oct.
