carlyle spillway interesting catch

Went last weekend for walleye/sauger again. Couldnt buy a bit afterthe front came thru. My 12 year old son showed dad up not once but twice by snagging into two paddlefish while we were trolling. First one was small only about 10 lbs and I told him dont plan on hooking another anytime soon. Of course he had to prove me wrong and on second pass hooked a second one about 30 lbs or so. My boy is big for his age and that fish was almost as big as he is. I didnt even have a net big enough to land him and let me tell ya a pissed of paddle fish is not easy to land barehandede

Nice catch. Them spoonbills are some good eatin. The day we went there sauger fishn a guy caught a huge spoonbill. He was going around asking people if they wanted it but know one took it so he released it back.
