Cool Dog Days Fishin'

Here is a video clip of some fish I caught the last couple of days. As you can see, I caught some cats as well as crappie and on the second day, I just catfished as they catch and release a little better than the crappie. My freezer is full and most of the folks I give fish to are busy, so catch and release works for me.

Thats a nice mess of fish. Nothing wrong with catch and release. Saves more for other days. Although I have a hard time putting back a nice crappie. But I have been known to do it a time or two.

CX.

I am attempting to restock some areas I fished out earlier in the year with the catch and release. But, I doubt if very many stay. I have caught cats I released a few days earlier a mile from where I released them. And, crappie roam more than cats. Catch, Picture, and release is a good thing in my book!

If I get time, I may post another clip of some off species fish I caught in the last couple of days. Today, I caught a 9 pound Drum Perch on my gold crappie hook. I am sure from a distance, he looked like a big bass to the tournament bass fishermen I showed him to while heading home. He put up a much better fight than most bass I catch. When you are fishing minnows, you never know what you might catch.
