Default Good Day!

Just a few from the pond. Had to work at it but we found them in the deeper water. Good breezy day with some cloud cover.

You guys are right....if you have to work this is the kind it should be. Been catching a few blue gill at Walnut Point. Caught a few crappie there a week ago. I think it is getting better. Should be good fall fishing since spring was so poor.

Default Walnut Point

Went to Walnut Point today and the fish were on. 3 of us caught our limit of gills. Nothing big. Then we got on the crappie. Most were 8"-9" with a few 10" & 11" mixed in. Forgot to take the camera. Found them around wood between te bank and 11 foot of water, about 2-3'down. Mostley used a Dana-max or a tube jig.

I haven't fished Walnut Point in several years. Do they still have an eight inch size limit and a creel limit on bluegill? Any creel limit on crappie? Thirty five or forty years ago we had a great day on crappie up there. Two of us took 63 crappie fishing off the bank in just a couple of hours.
